DMCA & Copyright Policy

How to report alleged copyright infringement to VunoTV, what a valid notice needs to contain, and how we respond.

Last updated: January 2026

This policy explains how VunoTV handles copyright complaints. Highlighted values in square brackets are configuration placeholders that the site operator must complete before publishing.

1. Copyright policy

VunoTV respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses this website to do the same. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable legislation in other jurisdictions.

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, to disable or terminate the accounts of users who are found to infringe the copyrights of others.

2. Submitting a DMCA notice

If you believe that material accessible through this website infringes a copyright you own or are authorised to act for, send a written notice to our designated copyright agent using the contact details in section 5. Notices sent to any other address may not receive a response.

Please note that VunoTV does not host third-party video content on this website. Where a notice concerns material we do not control, we will say so in our reply and, where we can, point you to the party who does.

3. Information a valid notice must contain

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list where multiple works are covered by a single notice.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail (for example the exact URL) for us to locate it.
  4. Your contact details: full name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice can expose you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

4. Counter-notification

If material you provided was removed or disabled and you believe this happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to our copyright agent containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court and will accept service of process from the party who submitted the original notice.

Where the law requires it, we may forward a valid counter-notification to the original complainant and restore the material within the statutory time period unless we receive notice that a court action has been filed.

5. Designated copyright agent

Send notices and counter-notifications to:

  • Copyright Agent: [AGENT NAME]
  • Email: support@vuno.tv
  • Address: [POSTAL ADDRESS]
  • Operator: [LEGAL ENTITY NAME]

For anything that is not a copyright matter, please use the contact page instead.

6. Repeat infringers

Accounts associated with repeated, substantiated notices of infringement may be suspended or terminated. We keep a record of notices received and the action taken in response, in line with our Privacy Policy.
